LAN Status

I have 15 XP Pro desktop son our network. I have enable "show icon in notification area when connected" for the local area connection on all the desktops. On all but one the icon shows up in the system tray. If I right click the Local Area Connection in Network Connections and select status, the status will not display.

I have tried ugrading the driver of the NIC, removing and reinstalling the NIC with no luck.

This is not a big deal but I would like to find the answer as to why this is happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
