Lagging letters

A customer of mine ahas a problem with Win ME. When she types any text, wether via Word or On-line, after while the text laggs between keystrokes, or takes up to 10 sec before appearing on the screen after the key has been hit. Ideas anyone?

I would suggest you have SPYWARE. Go download PEST PARTOL and see if you do not have keystoke copier. You can get PEST PARTOL free at Tell your friend to dump all of her IE history files, IE temp internet files, and clean out her TEMP directory. Also edit the INDEX.dat file in the history directory and delete everything in it. It tracks what you are doing. Let her tell you what is running and see if something is slow using all of the RAM up.
