Lagging in Quark5.0?

Does anyone know how to quark lagging the OS? When the app is open it just slows everything up!!!

Thinking of going back to 4.11, much quicker. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

The lagging has been acknowledged by Quark as a bug that will be fixed in the next release (apparently). Once QuarkXPress is open, your whole system will freeze momentarily every ten minutes, then once again a few seconds later. A workaround is to turn off AppleTalk, because it's a security issue that checks the network for other copies with the same serial number.

Coming from a repro department, turning off the Appletalk is not an answer, due to my printers.
