Labeling media

What is the best practice for labeling media? I have 2 sets of media - of 5 tapes each. One tape for each day and then every week the set it switched with one in Offsite Safety Deposit box.

Should I create a new media set for each set? Right now they are all apearing in the Differential set (8 of the tapes) and the 2 "friday" tapes are in the full set as my fullbackup is only done on fridays.

Also i've tried to simply label tapes and when i insert them it seems that the drive doesnt' recognize the tape - though it ususally will complete a job on the tape (see other post). I tried the inventory option but i get an error saying the robitic library doesn't recognize any tapes. (I dont' have a robotic library - just a single tape drive that i change myself daily).

Any advise for a Newb with BE 10?

When you installed the Veritas, did you also install the support for the robotic library, or did you just say no?

This could be causing the message about the robotic library.

I didn't orignally setup Veritas, it was here before I was, however I did perform the Upgrade to Symantec but don't recall anything about robotic library.

The error message actually says
e000821e - Library error - incomatible storage media detected in robitic library.

If i click on the drive it doesnt' show any media present.Howver If i leave the tape in there it will get written to over night - and then the next morning i've noticed if i click the device it'll show the drive now. So I could label it then, but i want to do them all at once and for some reason i'd think i shouldn't have to wait for a job to be processed on it to be given the ability to label
Right?
