L700 fiber interface

We are looking at putting a L700 (10 LTO-FC drives) on to a V880.

I have an existing MacData Switch and was wondering if the L700 can connect to that switch.

You can only connect it to a McData ES1000 with the ES1000 bridge port ISL'd to your main switch.
