KX-TDA100D Version Upgrade Guide 4

Hi,

As per subject, It seems like i am unable to find any details on upgrading PDMPR Versions from 5.1 to 5.2..

I will need to upgrade the version due to compatibility for KX-DT521 PT..

Currently PT does work, yet with some problems, eg. Display shows "00000000" and all buttons, flexible buttons are not working, intercom buttons show green even not in use

Please advice, appreciate for any input.

Of the top of my head, I thought that the 5 series were only compatible from v8 of the maintenance console.

When I was provided with the V8 software all of the relevant card upgrades came with it.

some cards u need to upload other files and vieuw/load into them ( like OPB card)

you will need the V8 files for the dlc and the dlhc cards and the modified v5 files for the 5xx series phones

Did you just mention DHLC8 card? Yes, I have just installed a DHLC8 card, it show RED led and status FAULT-UNACC

FAULT-UNACC appeared as status when installed in KX-TDA100D

FAULT-DIF appeared as status when installed in KX-TDA100

as far as i know V5.X is for TDA100 ( dont know about the TDA100D) (V8 is for TDE / NCP series)
For the DHLC card u can use V8

Yep,, currently our TDA100D is on V5.1

Ok, here is the steps you provided in the other link.. I have write a comment in CAPS


1> in programm click the safe config
- CAN'T FIND THIS OPTION ANYWHERE
2> SET SVM / to OUS
- WE GOT NO SVM, SO IGNORE..

3> Transfer File to PC ( DBSYS )
- RATHER THAN "DBSYS" I GOT DSYS, WHICH I ASSUME IT IS THE SAME..
4> Transfer Message to PC ( The SVM / and or card

5> remove the SD Card and get the LIC files ( if anny )
6> save the whole old PRIVAT map and call it PRIVAT_OLD ( Backup all )

11> now the system is standaart 192.168.0.101 / pass 1234, login and yust put pass 1234 and skipp all, even IP settings, yust skipp all, ( if 1st time ask for language files update upload them en do the system initial again after the SD card finising blinking), then skipp all again.
12> open your DSYS whit your new maintenance console ( offline), it will ask you to convert, do it and save your new config file ( check the timers and everyting u whant to check )
- OK, I JUST DONE THIS AWHILE AGO, IT DOES NOT ASK TO CONVERT. AT THIS STEP THERE IS REALLY NOTHING TO DO? AS THE CONFIGURATION IS AS THE OLD ONE WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO MAINTAIN

14> reset by command --> skip the save --> replace the DBsys for yours
15> connect on the old IP / old Pass.

the lates TDA100 Version for me is 5.0100 (never used TDA100D. so maybe its the same)

To update your DHLC card : upload the File to your SD card/ set the DHLC card OUS / go to SD Card File Vieuw and Load / click the DHLC card Vieuw / Load / wait / done / Set card back to INS

5 series don't work on KXTDA's, upgrade MPR to V8 TDE

Panasonic released an unsupported version of v5 to dealers to allow the 5xx series to work

If your previous version was a version 5 it won't need update file. The software for the 5 xx phones are in firmware. The dlc and dhlc have to be up graded to v8 for the phones to work. The same card firmware does both

I manage to get the DHLC8 work with GREEN LED and are able to configure after the INITIAL RESET
Soon after i restore my old DSYS (PC-SD/PBX) > Reset by command > Skip Save > Replace DSYS > Restart
The DHLC8 card back to not working and shows status "FAULT-DIF"
I would still like to restore the configuration/DSYS

DT5xx Series do work with TDA100 but it need V5.2 above (As per the manual)

After initial reset, below are the versions. Should I upgrade the MPR(BX) to version 5.2 above to make the DT5xx series PT to work?
I should get from our dealer for the file upgrade version? or able to be downloaded somewhere?

After some lookup on internet it seems they say there is an V5.2 for TDA100D, but not in my area
i know they exists but thats it,

u should get your SD Card content for 5.2 from your local distibuter/panasonic dealer if u realy upgraded your system whitout converting your DSYS , u should install the new version of the maintanance tool,
once you open the DSYS it normaly ask to convert to new system file. (does my maintenance console for your region select V5.2?)

and i got an DHLC Version 8.001 / so you should get MPR(BX) Version 5.2000 in my country (TDA 100 not D) MPR(NL) Version 5.0100

i guess i cant help you on this one (TDA100D)

Yea..

The DT5xx Series PT works on below ;

TDA100 Version 5.01 above
TDA100D Version 5.2 above

Tested on both PBX anyway.. I got our TDA100 on 5.01 above (Which meets the requirement)
Yet the DT5xx Series PT not really working properly.. it still showing 0000 in the display, buttons are not working, no ring tone when called..BUT able to call!

Any possible reasons?


Also still i got the below which need advice :-

Maybe your install?

on opening the DSYS normaly ask you to upgrade to the new DSYS version ( what your Panasonic dealer gives you?)

The DHLC8 card back to not working and shows status "FAULT-DIF"

this means the card installed is different than the one in the backup for that slot. open dsys file in tool and look as slots. if it is different you can delete it and pre-install the correct card or remove the card and then delete from the system.plug back in the card and it will find itself

or you could upgrade the card after the DSYS is put back
so 1st DSYS back then upgrade card.

As far as I am aware the dt5 series do not work on the TDA period. Regardless what the documentation says.
