I have been asked to create a rack cabinet with 6 PCs, 6 LCDs and two KVM switches for two operators to switch back and forth between all these devices. I was under the impresion that the purpose of a KVM was to have one operator manage two or more systems. Any ideas on how to accomplish this task?

If at first you don't succeed, reboot!

With the switch versions you do get 1 user and multiple hardware boxes. There is a conflict in how they would hook up if you tried to do it from 2 users.

You might do a google search on "KVM switches" to get a feel for what else is in the marketplace. You could also look at Raritan for their ethernet based control solution as they have been around with the product for a while but a google search for "KVM ethernet" will get you to more information that you probably need.

thank you both for your input. the situation has changed and now it doesn't look so confusing. Thanks again.
