I was having a lockup problem with this motherboard, it was locking up when starting windows. Went in to edit bios...and lo and behold it locked up shortly after entering bios setup

Any ideas?

I'm currently looking at the ps.

Check the temps before you do anything else. Should be under about 50C CPU temp. The temp is shown in the BIOS. If it is a temp prob then you should get a minute or so before it locks if the temp is a prob. I don't think it's the PS but I could be wrong.

Hope it helps a bit :)

Enter BIOS, and set to "Failsafe Defaults".
In the first screen, enter your floppy drive.
In peripherals, disable the "modem" (there isn't one on board in this case).
In Power Management, set the IRQ for modem to "NA".
Also in Power, go down to System Monitor, and check CPU temp and FAN speeds...
DO NOT try and enable video and BIOS caching on this board!!! At 1.2 gigahertz, there's no need, and it will probably crash anyhow. Cheers,
Jim
