I have a customer who is on their third KLM in one year. The switch board consist of a 7324 and two KLMs. I've replaced the 7324 and three KLMs already this year. They just called and I went to their office and the first KLM, closest to the 7324, is down, meaning none of the buttons work ie dead,. The second KLM is working great. The switch board answers two T1 lines for a busy inbound sales office, if that helps at all, could they be wearing out this quickly. I've even taken apart the KLMs to see if coffee or something ruined them, but they are clean as can be.

Puzzled? Thanks in advance all!

Not really sure but have you checked the power source because I know small voltage spikes will damage them.

I would feed from phone closet with a Valcom VP-324. Plug the Valcom into a UPS or some sort of power surge device.

If the wiring is far away. You may need to double up the pairs if possible or run heavier guage wire.
