Hi, I have an intel server for my Lab and it had KVR333X72C25 RAM installed in it. I bought bigger RAM Modules KVR333X64C25 and tried to install it, only to find out that it gives Beeps from the motherboard. Can anyone plz tell me if these two are interchangable?

Kind regards,
Zotigo

NO they are not...

the orig (*X72C25) are ECC RAM modules and should only be replaced with ECC RAMs...

the X64C25 is a non-ECC module and only compatible with Desktop motherboards...

PS: I found this just googling the part #s and reading the very first GOOGLE hit on each... you could have done the same...

Thanks Ben, actually I did find it out right after I had posted it here. So next time I better do that before posting.
