Looking for some advice for my Toshiba Satellite Laptop running Win7. About 6 months ago an entire glass of tea was spilled onto the keyboard of my laptop. After giving it time to dry (about a week) I plugged everything back in and of course the mouse doesn't work and keyboard is flaky. That is where my question comes in. When the computer very first starts up keyboard works (led lights on and off when "caps lock" or "num lock" is pressed). After that 3 secs pass and windows starts to boot up, everything on the keyboard stops working. The halfway solution I found was to:
Wait for windows to fully startup,
close the laptop to send into Standby mode,
open Laptop to wake,
and after a few seconds keyboard is fully responsive and working.
I'm trying to figure out why this is, and what I can do to possibly fix this. I can't boot from disk during startup because you have to "press "ENTER" to boot from disc", and I'm wanting to install on a second partition.
(note: all drivers are up to date, and have completely reformatted the drive with a clean install.)
Thanks for ANY input on my situation.
