Keyboard Stutter

I have an unusual problem in Pagemaker7 (Mac)
Maybe it is more of a system problem (OSX 10.4) on a G4.
But Pagemaker is the only program where this occurs!!!
I am getting repeating key strokes as if I were holding
down the key too long like thisssssssssssss.
It is not on every character, but occurs on about 10% of my keystrokes. I have to set my text in another program and import it. Not too convient. Has anyone else ever had this problem and how can I fix it. I have tried setting keyboard preferences at the system level without solving the problem. It only happens in Pagemaker???

Try:

1. Removing and re-installing PM.
2. Substituting the keyboard with another one.

Failing that, post in the question in AdobeForums PM Mac
