I have been trying to do a repair disk on a system that had a few virus's. The repair works until I get to where I enter the cd key.The keyboard stops working. It works normal until I get to this point. The mouse works perfect. I can click the box where the key goes but when I type nothing happens. No keyboard lights.

Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Thanx

Terry~

Instead of a "repair" installation, have you tried "SFC /scannow"?

Is your Bios up to date and any Bios virus scanning disabled?

I'm not sure whether you can do a repair "unattended", but a clean install is a possibility.

How do disabled people install XP (or can't they), too bad you can't access the onscreen keyboard and use that (or can you)?
