Cheers mates

I am a PERL programmer converting to C++. I have a lot of stuff Know how to do in PERL but dont know where to start at in C++. A little help would be appreciated.

I also would love a couple of good websites for generic information like this. Especially someplace telling me about the standard library use.

Ok to my question.

I would like to know how to detect if certain keys are pressed, held down and released on the keyboard.

For reference material there are many STL References online you can find any number of them with a google search. More specific reference material for things like the C library should come with the compiler you are using.
