Help. My keyboard freezes up after the machine has been up and running for 10 minutes or so. For a while the Scroll-Lock key light would come on, but now that doesnt even happen. A restart doesnt fix the problem, only a cold start does.
Running 200 mhz mmx SOny VAIO w/win ME and 64 meg Ram.

2 choices, keyboard or motherboard. What can you substitute? Would try swapping keyboard with another machine as first step. Ed Fair

Could be too many things running in background ME is a memory hog and the symptoms of running ok for 10 minutes or so kind of indicates that there are too many things running at startup. This site was written by a very knowledgable person it does say for DELL but windows is windows. It tells you what can be unchecked in msconfig to free up memory being used by too many things running at startup.
