I need to map F5 to ^[[21~ for hyperterminal. Is this possible? And how?

i dont know how to do this ..but F5 on meridian mail is the "Enter key in the number pad"

post it if you figure out how to do the mapping

senk1s,
in hyperterminal, What are your settings for emulation? Mine was at vt100 and enter from the keypad still did not work.

DON'T BELIEVE THERE IS ANY MAPPING ON HYPER

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

i use vt100 or att4410 ... dont remember which one i tried the enter key.

I have found that for whatever reason on some keyboards the Enter key does not work also.

^[OP is the map needed for f5 in hyperterm.. do youself a favor, get a copy of procomm.. very good software for this app.. hyperterm was to light even back when it was the best windows 3.1 could do..

Hi,

Set your emulation to VT-100 and try F10 (The Key)

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

This works for me.

Ensure Caps lock is on
Press ESC o and m at the same time.

I am pretty sure the maker of hyperterminal later came out with a "Private Edition" upgrade that included soft key which would be user definable. Take a look at and see if this addresses your needs.

Yes, Hilgraeve has a Private Edition.
And here's how to get [F5] to work, after you have PE installed:
1. Menu {View}{Key Macros}
2. Button [New]
3. In the 'Key' field, just press the F5 key on your keyboard. <F5> will appear in the box.
4. In the 'Action' field, (THIS IS IMPORTANT!!)
Press the Ins key on your keyboard
Press the Esc key on your keyboard. <ESC> will appear
Type [21~ ...... left bracket, two, one, tilde
You should now have <ESC>[21~ in the Action box
5. Button [OK][OK]
6. {File}{Save} or {SaveAs}

I realise that this is rather an old post but, I've just corrected this problem using a *FREE* solution, so I thought I'd post it.

I used Tera Term Pro v2.2 by T. Teranishi and created a new keyboard mapping which swaps the F1 - F5 keys with F6 - F10.

If any one is interested, I can send them the config file and keyboard file?
