kem on i1140 ip phone installation

trying to add a kem to i1140 phone. this is a cs 1000s. no light comes on with kem but has a reading of i00v138 and just below v138 appears on the kem. i changed all of the class of service settings and made each key on the unit a BSF. example: key 32 bsf 61 0.

any info much appreciated.

if you are installing a KEM on 1100 Series you will always need a external powersupply!!

fritzthecast - an external power supply is only required if you want to use the backlight on the 1100 Expansion Module. If you do not need to use the backlight, then it draws enough power from the base 1120E/1140E/1150E.

jest243 - minimum release is CS 1000 4.5, minimum C39 firmware in the IP Phone 1140E, program as a KEM3
