hi

This may sound dumb but here it goes.

I have a form with two subforms. Each subform is on a seperate control tab. Each subform contains interview questions. After all the questions in the first subform are answered, it moves to the second subform to answer those questions.

However, sometimes when people are entering data, they manage to change to a new record midway through the data entry process.

How can I prevent this from happening? I am new to access and do not know how they are managing to do this.

Any help would be most appreciated.

On the main form, go to design view. Open the properties box for the form. There is a "Cycle" property in the "Other" tab. Set this to "Current Record", and maybe this behavior will disappear. I can't guarantee that this behavior will disappear for all situations, but it will cover the "users pressing Tab too many times" situation.

thanks for the tip

i tried it out and it seems to be working.

Good tip.

Maybe a star should be in order for Foolio12 from Hoose? (HINT)!
