Hi All,

I have an outside sales guy that Avaya was setup to call him when a new VM arrived and allow him to press a number to listen to the message. It worked flawlessly but recently he said his password would no longer work. I've gone in to the IP Office Manager 6.2 (4) and edited both the user and vm password but it still tells him that his log-in is incorrect.

I know I'm missing something but what do you think it could be?

The system is an IP406 DS 4.2 (4). Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Look if he still has a "source code"
It should be Vextension number !!!
If that is gone then he can not access it

Also is his mobile/home phone still listed as a trusted source?

Thanks. He has a source number Vxxxx and a P9xxxxxxxxx (USA) local number with area code but no 1 needed. I'm not really sure how rto check if the number is a trusted source. Could you elaborate?

can you log in locally on the IPO from a phone?

You also need a V entry for his home phone, so is his number is 123456 you also need the V123456 entry as well as the P9123456, this makes his home number a trusted source :-)

Still no good. I am able to login from a system phone. I have the following in source numbers;

V1234
P97701234567
V7701234567

The user and voicemail passwords are the same.

Any other suggestions?

create a new user for him and try it with that.

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.
