jre 1.1.8 and winxp tablet edition

Does anyone know of an incompatibility between jre 1.1.8 and Windows XP Tablet Edition ?

We have a java application that requires jre 1.1.8 and has been running fine on Win95, Win98 and WinXP Pro.

I recently tried to install the jre on an eval. tablet from Fujitsu running XP Pro Tablet Edition, but the installer failed with no error message, just a momentary flicker of the splash screen. For the record, I was logged in as administrator.

Perhaps if you start the installer from a commandline, you can see an errormessage?

Thanks Stefan - unfortunately the loan machine has gone back, and I don't have acces to any other copies of XP Tablet Edition.

I was hoping there might be a known issue.
