I have AD at home and a Domain at work. Is it possible to join both, so that when I join the AD at home, it doesn't lose my info from the domain at work.

I would think so, but to be on the safe side make your user at home have a different name so it does not use the same folders for your profile.
You know: c:\documents and settings\user\...

You can't join both at the same time (ie, have to leave one domain and join the other. Remember, you need a domain user with sufficient privileges to be able to join a domain). However, if your work profile is stored on the machine, you will be able to access that (the files) when logged on locally or connected to your home domain.

I think what he is asking is, when he takes his laptop home can he then log in to that domain with it.
Is that correct?

Correct, so that I can access resources at home automatically with Challege/Response.

Yes, you can. But as wolluf says, it's one or the other. You can't be connected to both at the same time.
