Join a Date-Time Field with Date Only Field

Hello, I am creating a view joining two tables on date fields. I need to join a date field (smalldatetime) in the Time table to a ModifiedTimeStamp field (datetime) in the Invoice table. Can someone please give me the Select - From statement for this? (I'm a SQL statement novice.) Thank you so much for any help.

look into CAST() or CONVERT() functions...

Yes, I've been playing around with both of those but can't make them work. If you could, would you mind showing me the actual SQL From statement?
