Have 2 domains one for admin one for curriculum. One is on 10.130.100 one on 10.146.100. I would like to bring the admin domain into the curric domain (as the curric has 2000 users and the admin only about 25) I have been reading up on this site and others, it seems as if I cannot do this without starting again. Can any kind person point me to documentation on how to do? They are both 2003 domains. The curric domain has one 2000 server which I would like to update to 2003.
Thanks in advance

You can either create a trust between the domains or forests or use ADMT to migrate the admin users and machines into the curriculum domain.

The IP addressing does not matter for the domains as long as there is a route or connection between them.

If you go with creating a trust, put a forwarder entry from DNS of each domain pointing to the DNS of the other domain. This goes on the property tab of each DNS server. You do not need to try to do zone transfers or secondary zones or create secondary DNS.

OK let me make sure I am reading your post correctly. Go to the DNS (on each server), right click the server and put the IP address of the corresponding domain/dns server in?

Thanks for your response

When you right click and get the properties dialog box, one of the tabs will be labeled 'Forwarders'. There should be one entry ln the DNS domain list lableled 'All other DNS domains' that will probably have your ISP's DNS servers. You would click 'New..' to add the other AD domain name and enter the IP address of the other domains DNS server(s).

It a lot simpler than it sounds when you are looking at the dialog box.
