OK, this should be easy...

After changing our domain Administrator account password, backup jobs fail in Backup Exec 8.6. Obviously, BE is authenticating using the Administrator account, and just needs to know the new password.

So...the million dollar question...Where do you set the password?

Thanks!

I think I answered my own question...

Browse the selection set. Go to a selection on a remote PC. Click to browse it...wait...wait...wait...eventually, a message pops up asking for credentials to connect with.

The job is running now...We'll see if the new credentials stick.

Could be the back up exec remote agent service account.
They are probably running as the network administrator. Unfortunately when the network administrator account is changed it doesn't actually change the service password.

It's recommended you create a new account and use that to run the service under for all your BU Exec services.

Open the services console and open the back up exec service then click on the 'log on' tab and enter the details there.
