Jobs schedule but don't start - Yikes ! 4

Not sure whats up, v8.6, Jobs just go to "scheduled" and never go active. even if I "Run Now". If I create an entorely new job, same thing. all BE services seem to be running, rebooted, restarted services, etc

Go to devices and unpause the server i.e. right click and uncheck pause.

Thanks ! Any idea what puts it in that state ? The only weird thing that happened was a few day earlier all the job definitions and activity disappeared. Rebooted and they were back so we didn't think any more of it but it was dead from there.
