I'm using a third party app on w2k pro/sp4. In order for this to run, a user must be an administrator, or have full control access to the key hkey_local_machine\software\javasoft.
I reset the permissions to full control for the users, but the next time the user logs on, I get an error about not being able to access the javasoft key. I go back and look at the permissions, and they've been reset to the defaults.
I've tried this logged on as an admin, and logged on as the user with the 'run as'\administrator command.
This is really curious to me, any one have ideas?
