Is there a setting in windows xp that would make the java vm unable to initialize? When I try to run a java project I get an error that the vm cannot be initialized. The sdk is properly installed. I am asking here because no body seems to know in the java forum. -Greg :-Q

Are you referrring to the Microsoft Java Machine? Have you tried installing the Sun Microsystem Java? John D. Saucier

mackey,

goto and download the latest Java2 1.41 IE Plugin. This will sort you out. Alternatively, you can download and install the Service Pack 1 which I assume you have not installed as this comes with a brand new MS Java Machine.

Cheers
