Hey, not sure where to post this, but i know most of you know the switch better than anyone else. I recently setup an asterisk pbx for testing, and i want to off load IVR and announcements from call pilot to asterisk. But not quite sure what Symposium is looking for, or sending... for example in symposium i have to tell it transfer to 8000 and play greeting 7125 OR set symposium up for a ran, in that case i have to have separate routes and group of trunks for each announcement. Does anyone know of a painless way to use asterisks as IVR for symposium?

Because there is no direct integration between Symposium and Asterisk, I would think you would have to use the "ROUTE CALL xxxx" command in the script. And all that will do is tell Symposium to blind transfer the call to a DN pointed to Asterisk to play a recording. If at that point the caller needed to come back to Symposium, they would go back to the end of the line.

You can front end Symposium with Asterisk and leave CallPilot IVR ports in place for RAN recordings and such. This way the Symposium/CallPilot integration works properly but you are still off-loading some traffic to Asterisk. Make sense?
