I've bought a Soyo K7M 333 board PC, (in a garage sale!) The owner told me that for unknown reason it won't boot,
after trying everything in the book I gave up,
so I took the k7M board out, and installed a asus A7V333-X,
the CPU Athelon 2100 that came with the soyo k7M 333 board with the original heatsink, was installed as well,
after the hardware setup was finished, I then booted the Rig,
I get the one normal beep but it goes directly to the BIOS setup then after a few min it turn the Rig off. Here is what I did,
first I reset the BIOS, then checked all the cables,
unplug all the cd roms,
but still the same boot problem I also changed the PSU with a known and tested good one,
the memory are good too (tested)
and I still have the same problem
what you guys\gals think might be the reason for this kind of a problem

If I get to the bios then the video is OK your link does not seem correspond to my problem principally the turning off the Rig which is the main issue here!

It generally sounds like a heat issue...

Check the HS-Fan, if it is correctly mounted, it could be 180 degree off...

"If it works don't fix it! If it doesn't use a sledgehammer..."

In fact it was a heat issue after all, I changed the fan and heatsink and after a copule of reboots things got back to normal and I was able to load windows,
BadBigBen, your suggestion was indeed correct.
Thanks! [medal]
