Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the proxy configuration tool for WinHTTP?
The problem I am having is with Windows Update being unable to download updates; it has downloaded 12% of updates and stopped, and now the Windows Update log file is full of errors. I have tried updating off an internal SUS server and I get similar errors.
Below is an extract from the error log:
There is a proxy server (requires authentication; cant be disabled) to get to the internet.
I have tried downloading updates manually from Windows Update, but it seems to just halt on the progress bar "Searching for Updates" and never creates a list of updates needed to install.
I have added trusted sites to IE, but note that on some servers I didnt need to add ANY trusted sites, nor do ANY configuration (other than setup the proxy), and Automatic Updates would work.
Anyone know how to solve this? I assume its a proxy config issue with WinHTTP, but arent sure.
