We are in the final testing phase, The new 2003 server is up and running but we are unable to login to the server over a dialup connection (lan is a go)I can dialup to the network and browse (some) but I am unable to logon to the TS server using remote desktop, we are phasing out Citrix with this upgrade and I'm wondering if you guys have any tips on resolving this issue??

Also I have to move over three huundred user accounts to the new beast!! anyone have one of those Ulitimate one click does the trick utilities?????? ok if it takes two clicks i'm still in...

Thanks in advance,
sneekn

Have you tried the remote desktop connection using the IP address rather than the name?

Yes and we can ping back and forth while dialed in... Theres a missing step from being connected to the server to actually logging into the server as a user. It will not bring up the login... :(

Have you looked on the TS machine and checked the users you are allowing to connect? I have had similar issues until I granted permissions for users to connect. Make sure they are showing as domain users, not machine users.

I have checked that (thank you) We tested a laptop with 98 on it and was able to login as a user to the server using remote desktop (after we connected to the network) we are getting closer (I hope)

All we really want to do is have Remote Desktop dialup and connect directly to the server just like Citrix does, which means I need to figure out how to bridge the gap between being connected and getting the login box up...
