I have a very small environment running Exchange 2003. We have several email enabled public folders set up. Internally (Machines/accounts connected directly to the Exchange server) the folders work fine. They recieve mail on the appropriate address' etc. However email from the outside world (Anyone without an account on the Exchange server) Results in message delivery failure. Here is the message the Exchange posmaster sends back:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

xyz@abc.com

It is a fresh install of Exchange 2003 running on Windows Server 2003.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks,
-Landon

I am also having this same problem with my mail enabled folders. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you set anonymous with contributor permissions on the mail enabled folders?
