We have a AVAYA IP Office Voicemail server that keeps freezing. We ultimately have to cold reboot via the power button every day now. The mouse does not move and one cannot clikc on anything. When this happens the Auto-Attendent stops responding and we cannot call from the phones.

The event viewer shows some errors on the system log. Here are the messages:
Error code 7000
"The ActiveTouch NT Appsharing Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
and
Error code 7023
"The Computer Browser service terminated with the following error:
This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
This is very frustrating and we cannot seem to resolve it. Help!

Didn't say that it was just AVAYA. Looking for guidance on what the issue could be Windows or not. If it is Windows, I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction as to what the issue is.

ActiveTouch is certainly nothing to do with the VM Pro software

if possible try removing this software
if not what is its function & what version of windows are you using.
is the server being used for any other tasks?
(I would always recomend that VM pro is installed on a dedicated stand alone PC)

Close down the VMPro Client after leaving VMPro Server.
If you leave it open and the IPOffice gets a reboot then this could happen.

Major issue. The server just crashed, it won't log in. When it boots up, when it gets to the log in window it shows the following error:

"svchost.exe - application error

Thew instruction at "0x7c8333f5" referenced memory at "0x001fb47e". The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of "0xc000009a".

OK to terminate
Cancel to debug"

It will never log in. Dell 3100 and now the USB keyobard does not work nor the mouse.

HELP!!!!!

I really do not understand you are asking us for help but if i where you i would reinstall the OS.
Of course you do have a backup of the VMPro so that problem will be solved.

My suggestion:

1. Get the HDD into another PC and recover the settings made on the VM PRO.;
2. Format the HDD;
3. Re-install your OS;
4. Install VM PRO;
5. Import all the settings for the VM PRO;
6. Check that it works.
7. Make a back-up to the HDD (using Norton Ghost / Acronis software / or anything else);
8. DO NOT INSTALL anything else!

I'm sure that your VM PRO will never crash again..

Optional you can put an UPS in order for your computer do not crash at power failure! ;)

Best Regards,
Paul.

You could try to recover it by pressing F12 when the pc starts up.

i would use Hirens latest boot CD or the latest Universal Boot CD for Windows, both easily found on the wibbly web.

boot from it to BART PE, then copy your VM Pro directory.

Re-install your OS and then VM Pro etc.

recover your DB and WAVs from the above step.

Job done, you become a hero and everyone is happy.

You were right, function lock worked. Got into safe mode. Now the problem is the screen just sits at a bunch of lines that are similar, "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\windows\System32\Drivers\Mup.sys"

it is not going any further.....after some time it reboots itself.
