Hi,

Does anyone have this issue? basically we are running Avaya CM5.2.1 and have 24xx series phone son the PBX. we have noticed since upgrading to 5.2.1 sp8 that there have been logging issues when users are ogging in over exisiting stations. Scenarios:

1. logging in normally on a blank DCP works (using FW versions 2, 5 and 6).
2. However if a station is logged in and you try and PSA over it. the figures stay in the screen, you cannot see who is calling as the figures are still there.

To stop this I have to change the phone set type from 2410 to 2420 and back again to stop this from re occuring.

I cannot believe that we are the only people to experience this, we have upgraded the CM to sp8 (issue still there) and also upgraded FW on DCP to FW6. Issue still there?
Does anyone have any clues as the customer is becoming a right royal pain in the arse about this and Avaya cannot offer any solution.

Many thanks

When you say "they are logging in" exactly what are they logging into?

for example if someone from one building comes to another building and wants to use his phone, he may PSA over an existing logged in Number..

OK I get it. Its a TTI problem then. I have the same setup that you are working on with lots of 2400 series sets. I don't have the problems you mention here. TTI has always had "quirks" so I disabled ours years ago.

As for looking for a patch to fix it, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Their breaking more than their fixing with the SP's.

It does look like they fix it in CM 6.0.1 SP1

Thanks Mikey. I did think that there wasn't a Patch for this, Avaya have admitted (in a roundabout way) that they haven't seen this before and have advised to try sp10 on 5.2.1 or update the FW on all phones (don't think we'll do that at 8 mins per phone and we have approx 15,000 of them)I have mentioned about upgrading to CM 6 so we'll see..
