What is a good ISP for road warriors? I have several sales staff who travel internationally. When they go abroad they have problems dialling in with their portables. Does anybody know any good ISP that works well internationally? Alternatively, any tips from people who have had similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ah, I should have stated: I'm based in the UK. Thanks for the link though.

Setup your own dailin platform get a free phone number off BT for them to call into, this should allow them to directly connect in to your office.

Only problem with that is that most hotels don't allow you to phone free-phone numbers.

One other issue: what's the best way of getting on the web using a mobile phone? I hear connection speeds are very poor.

The last time I was on compuserve (several years ago), they provided local access numbers in some 50+ different countries, so no matter where you went, you were only a local call away.

AOL (which now owns compuserve) will be pretty much the same I would think.

Cell phone connections: I occasionally connect to the net via my sprintPCS phone, unfournatly I dont have a Data Vision enabled phone so I can't take advantage of the higher speed connections, how ever, I do connect at 14.4 and it's ok for checking e-mail and chatting when in an airport. SprintPCS in the USA offeres Merlin Wireless cards that are suposed to be 512kbps I believe, dont quote me on the speed as I personally can't afford one of those, I just find open 802.11b/g networks to get on if I have to.
