Hi all
I'm new to this forum and also new to CISCO prdoucts. Just got new job as an entry level in Networking.

My question is how would i upgrade ISDN line from 64k to 128k and what kind things i should keep in mind when doing this upgarde.

Any LINKS would be a great assest.

Thank you All.

u don't mention what kind of ISDN connection u have.... there are 2 kinds, ISDN-BRI [64Kbps - 128Kbps] and ISDN-PRI [64Kbps - 1.5Mbps on T-1 & 64Kbps - 2.048Mbps on E-1]...

if u have an ISDN-BRI connection, then all u probably need to do is configure your dial-up interface for Multilink PPP, which allows u to connect with both B channel, giving u 128Kbps....

of course, you service provider will already have to support Multilink PPP on their network access server, and also ensure your connection is authorised with a 128Kbps priority....

if it's an ISDN-PRI, then all u do is ask your service provider to allocate u more time slots, as each timeslot is a 64Kbps TDM timeslot.... so your total bandwidth is Nx64Kbps... for your upgrade, u will need 2x64Kbps B channels....

good luck..
