ISDN or Analogue Trunks

I have all VOIP sets on my Avaya Aura, G430 Gateway, with no outside trunks configured yet. Should I configure ISDN or Analog trunks for out going and incoming calls or does it make any difference?

How many users do you have on the system..? Do you currently have T1 or analog boards..?

I have no modules installed in the G430 gateway. My Telephony service provider is Cbeyond and I have two T1's with all analogue trunks. I haven't checked recently, but they did provide SIP trunking at one time. We Use the Aura for SIP set testing and I just need to configure the switch to make out going and incoming calls. I can get the MM711 or 714 cheap. The real question is, whatever trunk mechanism I use, will I be able to call out from the SIP sets? I figured a MM711 or 714 would be the most cost efficient route.

You should be able to call out a analog or T1 with a SIP phone

Although I have no familiarity with the G430 Gateway. I have many times time run into this question. Part of the issue is the cost of the trunking.
SIP $25-$30 per trunk (unlimited CONUS) + the bandwidth need steady clean bandwidth of about 40k to 100k per call depending on CODEC used.
POTS lines $50 per line
The second part of the question is How good your bandwidth is?

If you are already good clean BW then I would say SIP.

Last thing. The telephone companies are starting "Virtualize" POTS or analog lines. sometimes well sometimes not so well.

Fix it right the first time if you can. It just works better that way!
