Is this possible? Our maintainers have tried to set this up for us but to no avail, even loop backs fail. They are confident of their administration. They have moved existing functional trunks on to our remote EPN and these fail

Can anybody shed any light please!?

Sure it's possible. We have several DS1 remote EPNs which each have several local and LD PRI's terminating to them.

EPN is on a Point to Point Tie (DS1 converter) or it can use fiber right? There are not much in the translation. "add fiber..." Did you test the point to point? If loop failed, then something is wrong with your fiber or T1.

Sounds like they forgot to program the ds1-c boards on page two of the fiber form
