I have a Cisco 1721 VPN bundle with an ADSL wic that I use for connecting to the Internet. I have now put a ISDN BRI card in the router that I wish to use for ISDN backup.

So if the ADSL ever fails (which it does quite often!!) it will automatically dial the ISDN.

Because both of the interfaces are dialers they are constantly spoofing that they are up. So I can never get the ISDN card to dial up because it never thinks that the ADSL has gone down.

I can also not use OSPF to solve this problem as the cmopany that I use for ADSL will not use it on their routers.

Please Help!

Can you not track atm interface instead of dialer?

Yes but because it is a dialer it spoofs that it is up even when it doesn't have an ip address. So that doesn't work.

Any other ideas?
