does anyone know why i have to drop the leading 0 when dialling out on the coral ipx office

I'm not quite sure what you mean with this. Dropping it where??
LCR Routing Access code - 0/1/9 (depending on your country)
LCR Number Plan - list all numbers you dial including STD code
LCR Element - lists Dial Services to use and which order
LCR Dial Service - lists trunk group to use and any filters
Is this '0' you're talking about the STD prefix? eg in most countries STD calls are 01,02,03,etc (whereas in the US it's 1xxx). But I still don't see where you'd be dropping it. Please clarify.
