Hi,
I'mt trying to find out the iscsi initiator name that i've just installed on a netware 6 sp 5 box, so that i can configure our san device to let it in.
I dont seem to be able to find the ign.whatever it is anyware

thanks

terry712, I am designing a proof-of-concept GroupWise cluster over iSCSI with the storage and failover node at a hosting facility connected by T-3.

Do you have bad experiences with iSCSI and NW6.5 that you could share?

iSCSI is the poor mans way of doing things. Why are you spending money for a hosted service, but then scrimping on the cluster? Put in a SAN if you want to do it right.

I would never even consider doing it the way you mention... Way too slow of a connection to your hosted facility. If you are hellbent on using iSCSI, keep it local to your building and put it on Gig Ethernet.

only have one isci cluster
2 node 6.5 running groupwise as well - works ok but it's one of the hp cluster in a box one - ie 2 dl380's connected and then the storage - only prob we have is obviously the storage isnt truelly san aware

it does but if i had the choice i would always go proper fibre san
