ISA smtp filter doesn't work

I have an Isa server and an Exchange 2000 behind it, I setup the smtp filter on isa server to filter out certern attachment bad words and etc, but I don't think it is working, email with those attachment still going through it.

I have tried to loo for some sample but I have done all the config, not help.

Any one knows why?

How's your ISA konfigured? Have you read my FAQ about this issue - faq802-4510 - How to enable SMTP filtering on ISA Server?

Thank you for the reply, I really should read the FAQ first.
The problem is that I install the ISA first without install smtp service in ISA box and it is in a prudction server, any fix to that?

Well, normally you would need to remove anything concerning ISA, and then reboot the server, install SMTP Service, ISA Server and ISA Fixes. ISA SP1 requires reboot too.

I have not tried to do this with ISA already installed. Any information regarding this issue that I have found, clearly says that SMTP Service should be installed first, then ISA. But since this is a production server, I would suggest you give it a try and just continue according to my FAQ as if you already had SMTP Service installed.

Otherwise, you will not get about uninstalling ISA/SMTP, booting, and finally reinstalling.
