ISA Setup, Newbie

I am preparing to install a new ISA 2000 server. I installed the network as follows, have not installed ISA on the box yet, these are my issues:

Cable Modem

Router (192.168.2.254)
|
Server External Nic (192.168.2.253/24, GW: 192.168.2.254, DNS: ISP DNS)
Server Internal Nic (192.168.1.253/24, GW: None, DNS: Itself 192.168.1.253)
|
Client (192.168.1.100/24, GW: 192.168.1.253 or 192.168.2.254 (I have tried both), DNS: 192.168.1.253 or None)


Server is running RRAS as a network router

Issues:
Server can ping both router and client
Client can ping server but not router

What am I doing wrong?

You need a static route in your router.

Need to let router know how to get to the 192.168.1.x network.

cisco command:
ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.253

Another thing to look at the the rules on the ISA server. By Default no traffic is allow through the server. You must content and protocol rules to allow traffic through the ISA server.
