ISA Server installation requirement

I want to install ISA Server 2000 in my windows 2000 server machnice.Two LAN card are installed in the machine. Please guide me that does ISA need Active Directory or DNS configration in the machine or i may install without it?

Why do you need iSA, - you'll use it as a Firewall or as a Proxy server only or both?
I would recommend to install ISA 2004 (2006 - better), but not ISA 2000, because ISA 2000 is not a Firewall at all and it can not protect your assets effectively.
