Can anyone answer a couple of ISA 2004 config questions that I seem to be having problems with.
I’ve been testing ISA 2004 on the test network and it’s been great, the feature I’ve been interested in is internet access by schedule for groups of clients and URL filtering. This is working fine on the test network but if I move it onto the production side it seems to fail to work, I can get to web sites but most of the firewall features fail to work.
I believe this is due to the internal and external cards being in the same subnet, I have specified to the ISA what IP’s are internal and which are external during setup which is basically 10.4.116.1 the internal card of the router, the rest of the range is specified as internal. Is this configuration possible?
I’m a bit stuck here as the address of the router cannot be changed and re IP addressing the whole network would cause massive problems at the moment. I noticed that there is a “route” option in ISA as apposed to a NAT option so I assumed this may be possible but it appears not, can anyone shed any light on this?
Thank you.
