Is User DHCP - How to tell remotely

Is there a way to remotely tell if a user is getting a DHCP address or has a static address? (Without actually connecting to their machine using PCAnywhere)
 
Hmmm...srange problem... :)
But , yes, you can.
Just you must know the MAC address of that PC NIC. Then you can watch over DHCP lease window on a DHCP server and discover DID that particular client received DHCP lease or not. If not, but client has no IP problems, it means it has static IP address.
Not a good solution, but it works.
