OK, here's what I want to do, but not exactly sure how to do it. I want to use two 100Mbps FX ports on my 6509 to connect to two 100Mbps FX ports on a 2924M, so the through-put is 200Mbps instead of 100Mbps.

Is this called Trunking?

If so, do you have to trunk ports on both the 6509 and the 2924M, or just set it up on the 6509? As you can tell, I've never done this before...

:)

-Thanks!

no, that is not trunking, what you're looking for is Fast EtherChannel..

Depending on the software on the 6509 the commands could be diff...

On the 2924XM it should be the command "port-group" if i remember right...

in the 6509 the command would be the same, if its CatOS the command should be "set port group"

You should check cisco.com to verify the commands though..

Thanks, I'll lookup info on FastEtherchannel, I had a brain freeze and couldn't think of what it was called even. Trunking had stuck in my mind for some reason.

I appreciate it.
