Folks,
I am proposing a network solution for 30 users/50 computer network for their project requirement. There are arround 20 test machines and 30 Pcs to connect to the network. All the test machines have to be isolated from the PCs.PCs are to be connected to the company's backbone network, whereas the test machines are to be in a different network.
We have a Cisco 4006 switch,to which all these systems to be connected.
Proposed solution is
Create two VLANs in the Cisco 4006 switch, one VLAN to be connected to the company's backbone network and the other as a testing network. If any machine has to access the backbone, then the particular system has to be connected to the backbone Vlan temporarily.
Is this solution good one?
If you have any advice on this pls rush in immdtly with a good solution.
And how do I connect the VLAN to backbone network?
Regards,
Sathya
