I am wondering if i can capture and edit my footage from my Micro MV camcorder with Premiere!

The only way i have found of getting my clips into premiere is by using Sony's Movie Shaker to capture then export individual clips as AVI's. Then open them in Premiere, edit them and export the final video as an AVI. With this i open it in Movie Shaker and export it back onto my camera.

It seems to be ok in quality but surely its gotta lose some! There must be an easier way!! It takes so long!!!

My guess is that it's still too early in the game, with micro mv being a relatively new format and not very widely distributed to consumers, at that (with a camcorder being a large and therefore infrequent purchase for most people, it will be a while before people opt in for micro mv). I'm interested in the method you've been using, though. When I try to export to an AVI file, the sound does not transfer well. It continually skips. Viewed through Quicktime it's fine, but I'd really like to know if there's a way I can overcome this problem, as I'd really like to save my videos as AVI files. As I'm new to the world of video editing, any help you may be able to provide me would be greatly appreciated.
