Is there any tools to fix active directory like dsrepair for NDS

In Novell Netware we had the ability to correct problems with NDS using DSREPAIR. Does Windows 2000 Active Directory have a similar tool? I believe I may have some type of small problem in my active directory and would like to try and repair.

I hope you have a backup of your AD, you can restore parts of it if you want... ---------------------------------------------------------------------

try rebooting ur server in Directory Services Restore Mode
just a thought
well btw wat type of error is ur server is generating while starting ADS can u be specific about ur problem
